What ever The Police, Led Zeppelin, Spice Girls, Van Halen, Genesis,
Smashing Pumpkins, Britney Spears, Genesis, Whitney Houston and a ton
of other blasts from the past and washed up stars can do... The Jackson Five can do better.
That's right folks... we're living in the era of the Comeback Tour!
The Jackson Five have agreed in theory to hit the road and
it's firmly believed that the first gigs will be in 2008. I'll be more
convinced when I see tickets on sale.
The tour will now include big brother Jermaine (who hasn't done much of note in years), Janet and Michael. There are rumours that Janet has been suffering since her latest album 'bombed'. 20 Years On didn't set the world on fire, but I wouldn't call debuting at #2 in the billboard album charts bombing. And
we all know young Michael's long and weird story. Would anyone care
about this tour without Wacko Jacko himself at the helm?
This thing could go either way. Hopefully it's a huge success that
makes us forget at least some of the rubbish that goes along with the
Jackson family name, but although I do sincerely hope they pull it
off... this has disaster written all over it.
Pity we won't ever the likes of this again - classic!

Alicia Keys - As I am Absence may make the heart grow fonder, but it doesn't always make the
music sound sweeter. It's been far too long since Alicia released a new
album – way back in 2003 with her splendid 'Diary Of Alicia Keys'.
Sure, she's done an "unplugged" selection since, yet this is the first
batch of new material that we've all been waiting for. And she's got a
heck of a lot to live up to as her debut 'Songs in A Minor'
was a multiple Grammy winner, and catapulted her into the mainstream.
Ready or not. What made her special has been a natural classical side
which fused perfectly with current R&B flavours. It was a class
that lifted her above her contemporaries, and yet still appealed to
all. A perfect combo that has helped her shift around 20 million CDs so
far. - Read full review at CD WOW!...
